Motorways are different from ordinary roads as they are designed to help traffic travel faster and in greater safety. This puts great demand on both the driver and the vehicle. Traffic travelling faster means that conditions change more rapidly, thus you will have to remain alert at all times and have total concentration. Despite Motorways being statistically safer than other roads in relation to the number of accidents occurring, when accidents do happen, injuries are frequently more serious – often with greater loss of life.

Motorways may be some distance from where you live, hence the reason we tend to cover this topic over a 6-hour session where we can also assess your general driving on other types of roads. Newly Qualified Drivers can incorporate this module whilst participating in the Pass Plus scheme, though may not drive as many miles on the motorway owing to the structured syllabus having to be followed.
