Getting started is easy. All you need is a ‘Provisional Driving Licence’ and be able to read a new style car number plate from a distance of twenty metres. If you need glasses or contacts to do this then you must wear them whenever you drive a car.

All XL Instructors display a green Identification certificate on the windscreen of the tuition vehicle during lessons. It is unlikely that anyone except an A.D.I (Approved Driving Instructor) would have the experience, knowledge and training to teach you properly. Our Instructors will teach you in a clear, concise and methodical way and ALL our tuition will be based on one to one tuition. There will be no one else in the car at ANY time during your lesson.

To gain maximum advantage of your lessons, it is recommended to book at least 2-hour lessons. This saves a great deal of time driving backwards and forwards to home, thus spending more time in areas relevant to where you will be taking your driving test. As an example, a journey from Holt, straight to the nearest Test Centre in Norwich and return, will fill a full 2 hour lesson by taking the most direct route there and back. Doing this each week will not prepare you very well for your Driving Test!
